I finally got my martini’s today! Super excited, but totally bummed that they were tight. I only went by the measurements on the website that were provided. I guess I should have known better than to trust countless reviews and even product measurement information.
MAN, I wish there was a ‘roll eyes’ face on this thing right about now.
When I cannot walk in flats, then it’s over. But I could at least put them on. So I wasn’t going to return them. I decided to research. What could I do? I didn’t think I was going to have much luck getting them stretched professionally because this thing is fucking studded. So I found the usual “Wear thick socks” advice. BUT - use your hairdryer inside the shoe to warm up the leather, then walk around with them in the socks until it cools down. And I probably repeated that about 3 times until they actually started to stretch! I may have to do it over the course of a few days. But they were PERFECT after the initial trial run.
So there’s a tip I did not know, but thought I might share with those who don’t! May you always be able to walk without screaming in horrible pain, in your shoes!

P.S The shoes are from solestruck : www.solestruck.com/jeffrey-campbell-martini-spike-beige/index.html
P.P.S I’ve tried the damp socks, but I found that this method was much quicker (and less.. damp hehe) x
Erm… can we just move frugal february to next month?
