Wearing: Zara leather jacket, Sportsgirl T-shirt Dress, Country Road skinny stretch jeans, AMcQ ring, Mimco Bracelet (similar here).

This is me and my awesome Zara leather jacket. Krakow was threatening us with summer a few weeks ago when I purchased this. I was devastated. I mean, I know it’s supposed to be spring here and therefore, almost summer. But I was used to 8 degrees, raining and freezing before it rapidly became 30 degrees and stinking hot. But then, the Zara gods heard my prayers and it’s been cold for the past 10 days. Yay! Leather jacket time!

Unfortunately, my foot is still all kinds of messed-to-the-fuck up. Which means I have to wear sneakers. I know “sporty” is in and everything, but there is nothing cool walking around wearing bright white trainers when most of my clothes are black. So I had to get some black runners so people don’t stare at me. So much.

I don’t really know what’s wrong with my foot and it’s a total shame that even though I can (sort of) walk, I know the sensible thing to do is wear sneakers and not heels.

I also want to tell you that I just wrote an entire paragraph of how awesome it is to walk in heels, re-read it and decided that I may be contributing to society’s downfall and therefore deleted it.

Today we’re heading out to the Nazi occupation of Krakow museum which is situated in Oskar Schindler’s enamel factory. We’ve been told to set aside 3-5 hours. I have countless books on Nazi history and so obviously, this topic interests me. But I don’t know if I can spend more than an hour in a museum. It doesn’t matter what the topic is, what museum it is, what kind of church I’m seeing, statue, painting, The Lourve, a historic town, a castle etc - I really can’t take a lot of time looking at things like that. Unfortunately, I think that’s the “curse” of Europe. So much history, so little time.

A month since we’ve been out of Australia, and it’s been cold, windy and rainy pretty much every where we have gone (aside from Thailand - does it ever get cold in Thailand?). So I have been thrashing my awesome $50 asos jacket. But at the same time, it’s quite depressing to continuously wear a coat that just covers everything else you’re wearing.

I found this cute website called IsItIcedCoffeeWeather.com - let it find your location and it lets you know if you should/shouldn’t indulge, according to the weather. I’m a sucker for iced coffees, especially in the cold.

Right now we are in Leeds - I have to be honest, I am not exactly loving this place. I’m not disliking it, it’s just very similar to Perth. The area we are staying in even looks like East Perth. And there is nothing much to do here, so people just get shit-faced and you find spew all over the pavement the next morning.

The shopping, however, is decent. I ended up stumbling into a Mimco. Classic. I just traveled on the other side of the world to go into an Australian store. It was SUCH a lovely store with the most gorgeous SA’s. We talked for quite a bit (they said that the head Mimco store finds the Leeds store ‘embarrassing’ because it doesn’t showcase the brand properly - but i loved it!) and I ended up walking away with a watch that was greatly reduced but still full price in Australia. Score for me. Then popped into Mulberry, LV and Harvey Nichols but decided to keep the credit card safely hidden for those subsequent trips.

This Zara jacket is on the wishlist. I just love it. It’s so worth paying a little extra for the soft, buttery leather. At about $230 - how can I argue? I mean, my credit card is attempting to self destruct because it just can’t take anymore swiping, but who am I to deny such a lovely leather jacket? Especially since I don’t own one.

I’ve also been on the hunt for Alexander Wang Liya pumps. I had given up in Thailand (did not have my size), Germany (sold out), Poland (Krakow doesn’t stock AW) and of course, here. Where they didn’t have them. I wasn’t even sure where to look. But NAP did, but in the burgundy. I wasn’t for the burgundy. Who the fuck wears burgundy shoes outside of 1991. I searched for weeks online and never found the black in my size. Until, after a few drinks at dinner (isn’t that always the way? If I had a dollar for every online success story that began with “After a few drinks at dinner” …) - I ended up finding them available on ekseption.se. IN MY SIZE. IN BLACK.

THE.
LAST.
PAIR.

After some fudging around, I realized that I could avoid the VAT and go for the cheap European shipping if I put my billing address in as Australia and had them shipped to Poland. It’s been two days, and I’m excited. I’m more excited that I’ve worked out a way to walk on cobblestones in heels without killing myself but perhaps looking like a proper dork.

Bye for now, my lovelies.

I finally got my martini’s today! Super excited, but totally bummed that they were tight. I only went by the measurements on the website that were provided. I guess I should have known better than to trust countless reviews and even product measurement information.

MAN, I wish there was a ‘roll eyes’ face on this thing right about now.

When I cannot walk in flats, then it’s over. But I could at least put them on. So I wasn’t going to return them. I decided to research. What could I do? I didn’t think I was going to have much luck getting them stretched professionally because this thing is fucking studded. So I found the usual “Wear thick socks” advice. BUT - use your hairdryer inside the shoe to warm up the leather, then walk around with them in the socks until it cools down. And I probably repeated that about 3 times until they actually started to stretch! I may have to do it over the course of a few days. But they were PERFECT after the initial trial run.

So there’s a tip I did not know, but thought I might share with those who don’t! May you always be able to walk without screaming in horrible pain, in your shoes!

P.S The shoes are from solestruck : www.solestruck.com/jeffrey-campbell-martini-spike-beige/index.html

P.P.S I’ve tried the damp socks, but I found that this method was much quicker (and less.. damp hehe) x

Wearing: YSL Arty Gold in Red.

So, now I have three. I should really stop. Because when I attempt to add up the cost of all three in my head, I get really scared. I have been wanting the red for ages. This does not justify it. But somehow it makes me feel a little better.

What I really love about this one is the “Love” engraving on the band. Makes it so cute. And if you wear it like I have shown on my fat fingers above, when you turn your hand over it reads the right way up. Noice!

The red stone looks so delish. Almost like a chupa chup that’s been broken. I kinda wanna lick it. Kinda.
